The full ripe banana with dark patches produces a substance named TNF or Tumor Necrosis Factor that is able to fight abnormal cells. The more darker patches it has, the higher will be its immunity improvement quality.
In this phase, the banana is the most beneficial for the digestive system because the sugar from the banana in this phase is absorbing better unlike the first phases of ripeness when the banana is not so good for the digestive system because the starch is not transformed into sugar.
The cell levels with anti-cancer effect is equal with the ripeness of the fruit. The riper the banana the better the anti-cancer quality.
For the research they used apples, grapes, pears and pineapples, and the bananas contained most of the anti-cancer benefits.
