The summer is that time of the year when there is a lot of socializing with barbecues in the open, cocktails, football, beer, hot dogs. If you are not careful enough, you can easily add a few extra kilograms that are not welcomed. Here are a few advices on the foods you should be careful with.
The barbecue can sabotage your figure. A 600 grams of chop has about 1600 calories and 150 grams of fats, one average cheeseburger contains about 750 calories and 45 grams of fats. We are not even mentioning the pork or the beef: they come from the greasiest parts of the animal. Yet, here are some good news: you can eat grilled chicken breasts (without the skin, of course).
Sausages are the simplest type of fast food. We don’t talk about calories or fats here, since you can choose low-calories or low-fats products; but the sausages, hot dogs and other similar types of fast food contain a big amount of salt, which will keep the water in your body.
Salads based on mayonnaise
One average plate with tomato and mayonnaise contains about 180 calories and 16 grams of fats. If you can’t resist these types of salad, try preparing them with sour cream or fat-free yoghurt.
These sweet, alcoholic drinks are really pleasant and easy to consume, but add up to your calories in no time. The Pina colada contains 300 to 500 calories, the Long island ice tea cocktail 600 calories, and there are cocktails which contain over 1000 calories. Try drinking wine or a spritzer, it’s perfect and refreshing for the summer nights.
One ice-cream can have over 400 calories and 22 grams of fats. If you prefer the chocolate ice-cream, you will add up to 800 calories and 30 grams of fats. This doesn’t mean you need to give up on this summer pleasure completely. Start consuming fruit ice-creams, which contain only 150 calories.
Fried cheese, red chicken meat and the ones similar to these can have up to 1200 calories and 60 grams of fats. Avoid the fried food, or share it with a friend.
