If you think that something is wrong with your thyroid gland, you don’t need to do an analysis of hormones right now, because today we will present you one great test that you can do at home.
The diseases of the thyroid in this modern age are a real plague, especially in the women. The disruptions in the work of this very important gland can cause many complications with body weights, heart, metabolism…
Besides the recommended regular monitoring of the hormones by the experts, there is another way to see if your thyroid is working properly.
This test is very simple. Dr. Brod Branson found out that the body temperature is a real indicator of the work of the thyroid.
Before bedtime, take the thermometer, shake it and leave it near your bed. The next morning, immediately after you wake up, put the thermometer under your armpit and measure the temperature of the body.
After 10 minutes, read the result and write it down immediately. This result is popular as “early morning basal temperature”.
The normal temperature is between 36.5 and 36.8.
The temperature can vary because of infectious diseases and women who are at the moment in the reproductive period. You should do the test when you are healthy and right after the menstrual cycle.
Results from the test:
- The temperature between 36.5 and 36.8 degrees shows that the thyroid gland is working properly.
- The temperature that is lower than 36.5 degrees shows that the thyroid has reduced work or hypothyroidism. The symptoms of hypothyroidism are fatigue, depression, lack of energy, infections, lack of memory and concentration, chronic headaches, hair loss etc.
- A temperature that is higher than 37 degrees shows that you have an increased work of the thyroid or hyperthyroidism, or some infection in the body.
For better results, it is recommended to make this test 3 days in a row.
