Chia Seeds Relieve The Heartburn, Acid Reflux and Indigestion

Acid reflux, which is usually referred to like indigestion or heartburn, is a health condition where the acids of the stomach back up through the lower esophageal sphincter, burn the lining of the esophagus, and cause pain and constellation of some other symptoms. Stir the mixture to prevent the Chia seeds from clumping together. This mixture will yield 16 – 18 ounces of Chia gel. Store the Chia gel mixture in a glass jar.

Use Chia Gel to relieve the heartburn

When you have an attack of acid reflux, simple heartburn, chest pain, or other GERG symptoms, take a spoonful of the Chia seed mixture, and you will get an instant relief. It is good to eat it even if the mixture hasn’t gelled completely.

Allow the remained mixture to sit like that until it forms the gel and store it in your refrigerator for up to 3 weeks. The longer the mixture is allowed to sit, the better the nutrient content. The Chia seed gel has a somewhat slimy consistency that is very similar to Jello. But, if the texture bothers you, you can add it to water, juice, warm cereal or rice pudding.

Take one spoonful of chia seed gel straight or mix it with your favorite food twice daily like a maintenance dose to relive the acid reflux, heartburn or GERD before it starts.

Emergency Relief from Heartburn with Chia Seeds

In case of emergency, you can eat the chia seeds without soaking them, but, remember that they consume 12 times their weight in a water, so take just a few at a time to discover what works best to remove the acid reflux without absorbing the whole content of the stomach fluids. At the same time, drink a large glass of water.
