How Can You Make A Healthy Marshmallow And Eat As Much As You Want It?

This little dessert is a favorite to us all, but of course it is not the healthiest there is. It says fat-free, but it is not sugar-free.

One marshmallow has 4 g sugar, and of course not one single person eats only one.

So, one cup of these mini desserts means 29 g sugar or 400 calories that are worthless and empty! This is even more than 10 g over the daily amount allowed.

This load of sugar means more calories and more fat tissue along diseases or health issues.

Also, sugary food has NO nutrients. The more sugar you eat, the less you consume fresh vegies and fruits in your regime.

How Can You Make A Healthy Marshmallow And Eat As Much As You Want It?

This sugar ingestion means long term problems after it, like:

  • Heart problems
  • Insulin resistance and diabetes
  • Cancer types – pancreas
  • Cholesterol problems
  • Food addiction
  • Teeth cavities

So, try our recipe for tasty marshmallows that have no white sugar. Also they have an alternative with coconut and chocolate, as you prefer.

You will never buy them at the store again.


  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 ½ tbsp. gelatin


Take a pan and grease it slightly. Cover with kitchen paper and grease it too. In a small to medium bowl, attach mixer and whisker and put the ¼ cup water, then the gelatin in it and set aside to be softer.

Add ¼ cup water, salt, honey in another small bowl and put on medium temperature. Let it cook slowly to 240 degrees, and use candy thermometer to be sure. Also test this by putting a bit of the liquid in cold water, if it resembles candy-form-soft-circle shape it is good. You get the needed temperature after 7-8 minutes.

Take the pot aside off heat and add the hot syrup to the gelatin mix and use a mixer. Put the hot mixture now on the bowl sides.

Then add vanilla and mix another 15 minutes on fastest speed to get it thick. Scrape it and place in pan and set aside with no lid. After 12 hours or a whole night, it will dry off. Then just cut in squares and serve.

When done, roll the cubes in cocoa

Put in toaster ½ cup coconut flakes sugar-free, and sprinkle a bit on the pan bottom. Take the marshmallow mix and again sprinkle with the flakes.
