Best medical diet: Lose 15 kilograms in 15 days

The medical diet is a low-calorie diet which has become very popular due to its effectiveness for a relatively short time. There are few variations of the diet, but they are all essentially based on the same method, i.e. consuming low amount of calories, which undoubtedly leads to losing weight.

Meals plan

Breakfast is always the same, and it should consist:
  • One fruit (it could be an orange, a peach, a pear e.t.s., but never a banana or grapes)
  • One piece of cracker
  • One cup of coffee or tea (without any sugar or any other sweeteners)
When it comes to lunch and dinner, they vary depending on the day:

DAY 1

Lunch:
  • An orange
  • A boiled egg
  • 250-300 grams of yogurt
Dinner:
  • two tomatoes
  • a cucumber
  • two pieces of cracker

DAY 2

Lunch:
  • An orange
  • A boiled egg
  • 250-300 grams of yogurt
Dinner:
  • 125 grams of cooked veal
  • One tomato
  • One orange
  • One piece of cracker
  • Coffee or tea without any sugar or sweeteners

DAY 3

Lunch:
  • An orange
  • A boiled egg
  • 250-300 grams of yogurt
  • Lettuce or cucumber salad
Dinner:
  • 125 grams of cooked veal
  • One orange
  • One piece of cracker
  • Coffee or tea without any sugar or sweeteners

DAY 4

Lunch:
  • 125 grams of cow cheese
  • One tomato
  • One piece of cracker
Dinner:
  • 125 grams of cooked veal
  • Two tomatoes
  • One apple
  • One piece of cracker

DAY 5

Lunch:
  • 200 grams of cooked meat or fish
  • One tomato
  • One cracker
Dinner:
  • 300 grams of boiled carrot, pease or broccoli
  • One boiled egg
  • One tomato

GENERAL RULES ABOUT THE DIET

  • All the ingredients should be consumed; you shouldn’t skip the sequence in which they are given. The different types of food should be consumed one after another and they are not supposed to mix.
  • You shouldn’t consume any alcohol while practicing the diet.
  • The meat and the vegetable are supposed to be boiled in water with one soup dice.

TIME SPAM AND RESULTS:

The first cycle of the diet lasts for five days. The sixth and seventh day you should take a break and then, if you want to lose more weight, you can begin another five-day cycle. The diet, if practiced the right way, promises losing 2-5 kilograms within the first 5-day cycle.

If you want to lose more weight, then you can practice this diet for 15 days, i.e. three cycles in the following order: 5 days of the diet, 2 days break, 5 days of the diet, 2 days break, 5 days of the diet. Don’t go on with the diet after the third cycle!

In 15 days, you’re supposed to lose 10-15 kilograms.

AFTER THE DIET

When you’re done with the diet, it is recommendable to avoid greasy food, bread and sugar. Besides that, you can do body purification once a week. Here’s a menu for the day of the purification.

Breakfast:
  • A glass of water with freshly squeezed lemon juice
Lunch:
  • One apple
  • One piece of cracker
Dinner:
  • One boiled egg
  • One tomato
  • One piece of cracker

NEGATIVE SIDES OF THE DIET

  • By practicing it, you consume very low amount of calories, lower than the body needs (which is 1200 calories a day). It can cause fatigue, exhaustion, lack of energy and anxiety.
  • All the ingredients should be consumed in sequence and without skipping. A lot of people find it hard to follow this rule, so they mix the ingredients, replace them with others, or simply skip them.
  • There are no limitations for the two days between the cycles, so some people eat more to make up for the lost calories. Eating too much in these days shocks your body.
  • There’s a risk of a “yo-yo effect” because of the fast losing weight. It is recommendable for you to do some light workout after the diet. When you’re done with the diet, you shouldn’t go back to your regular food regime, but try consuming more fruits and vegetables, and less fast food and greasy food, so that you don’t get the lost calories back.
  • Working out during the diet is not recommendable.
