These are the 12 things that you do at night and MUST avoid altogether for a better sleep and no insomnia.
- No liquid of any kind since you will wake up a few times to urinate
- No naps during the day, in order to sleep sound at night and tire the brain during the whole day
- Remove electronic devices near the bed , their energy and brightness disturb you
- Book is fun, but not before a sleep! Read at least an hour before bed.
- Avoid bright alarms clocks since they disrupt the sound sleep and you can reduce the light at least.
- Good quality mattress instead of cheap one. This is big factor.
- Have the last meal, dinner, at least 2 hours before sleeping. Eating at night late makes digestion stopped and slow and causes gasses, heartburn and bloating.
- Workouts and sports ONLY 3 hours minimum before sleep.
- No cold feet under the blanket! Avoid this. Use socks to warm up.
- Have a regulated schedule as to your regime and lifestyle.
- No coffees even light milky ones! At least hour before a sleep. It will shake and wake you up.
- Find a sleep position that suits you best, right, left, on belly, on back, you name it and stay that way.
